Yes, as a member you may comment on blog posts. Non-members can read, but not comment.

The Lounge is the area for members where you can administrate your account and create your online material.

- You can add your classes and your students in class management and send them online quizzes.
- You can create reading comprehensions vocabulary-, picture, audio- and video exercises that you can add to tests and quizzes.
- You can create tests and quizzes to be published online, on your social media site, website, blog etc or sent directly to your students.
- You can follow your students progress with the quizzes.
- You can browse through the links and suggest links of your own.
- You can add your own images to your account and keep them private or share them publicly.
- You can add material you have created with the TLM tools to the material bank.

You register in the upper right hand corner of the site. You will get a confirmation e-mail to activate your account and to set your password. If you haven't received the e-mail within a couuple of minutes, please check your spambox. Unconfirmed accounts will be deleted in 24 hours

TLM membership is Free.

You can delete you account from "My Profile" section.
- Click on the "My Profile" tab at the top.
- Scroll down on the page and click on "Delete" to delete your account.

If the language of your choice is not in the list of available languages when using the tools, we can add your language to the database. It involves the translation of about 6000 words in an excel file (all the pictures in the image gallery). If you are interested in assisting with the translations please contact veronica.gelfgren@gmail.com

We have added 35 languages to the site. We are in the process of updating the existing languages with more vocabulary and adding more languages to the site. You can make bilingual exercises in 2380 combinations.
The languages we have available now are Arabic, Bahasa, Bulgarian, Cantonese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch , English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Macedonian, Mandarin, Norwegian, Pinyin, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Turkish and Vietnamese.

You can make phonetic exercises by substituting regular letters with phonetic letters supplied by the "Show Phonetis" keyboard at the top of the page.

You can make exercises in other languages than English even if you don't have the keyboard for it. At the top of the page you click "Show Keyboard" and there you click US and choose your language. The keyboards available at the moment are English,Canadian, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Greek, Hebrew and Finnish.

Yes, you can add words you would like to have added to the database. Send us your list of words in Excel(with the English translations) and we will add the list to the database so the list can be used in the tools. E-mail veronica@gelfgren.com

To use the Bingo worksheet generator, follow these steps:

1.Choose the type, size and language of your bingo board.
2.If you wish to create a bingo board with pictures, choose between your own images or the TLM images. By choosing the language, the TLM images will be displayed in the chosen language.
3.You can customize your bingo boards with font colors and border colors.
4. Choose a category where the PDF will be stored within your files.
5. To create several different bingo boards, choose the shuffle option and print as many boards as you wish.

If you get Please enter a valid question while making a vocabulary exercise, you have probably not used double brackets in the options.
Use ((= correct answer )) for gap fill with no options
Use (( option, =correct ansqwer, option))
Underneath the title you see three buttons. You can use them to add the brackets.

First you go to the question bank area, choose add vocabulary question.
Add the title of your exercise and then write or paste the questions/text you would like to use.
- To make a test with gaps fills, choose ((= word)) for the words which should be removed.
-To make a test with 4 multiple choice options choose ((word, word, =word, word)) The word which has the = equals the correct answer.
-Select your category and language and the level of your exercise and submit it to the Question bank.

You can now go to the Question bank to see your exercise. This is also where you can edit the exercise.

- Next step; go to Quizzes and choose add new. Choose from the available exercises in the Question bank. You can add multiple sections to your test.
Name your quiz and either submit it as a draft or as publish.

Go to "Class management" and "add class". Name your class according to how you will be sending out your quizzes. Submit, and you have created your class in your profile.

Go to "Class Management" and choose "New student". Add the student's name and e-mail address and submit.

Go to "Add students to class". Select you class and choose your student by clicking on the name. If you wish to add all your students to the same class, press ctrl and click. Submit the students t the class by clicking "add"

Go to "Class Management" and choose "All classes". You can edit the name of your classes, view students and remove your class on the right hand side.
To edit your student's name and e-mail address go to "Class Management" and choose "All students". You can edit the student's information and remove the students from the system on the right hand side.

You can upload your own images to TLM. Go to add image and save. Your own images are by default private; no one but you can see your images. If you wish to share your images, click public, then your image will be found in the image gallery and can be used by other members.
When you are logged in to your account, you will see all the images added by admin, all of your own images and all the images added by other members as public.

Yes you can. You are welcome to download the images and to use them in your teaching material and for personal use. If you intend to use them on a website or in a publication, please add the source www.thelanguagemenu.com
